For the last eight years We have compiled annual Best Of 's  because these posts seem so popular and the aim of this Blog is to get exposure (and Sales) for the artists. A reminder that anything reviewed on I Don't Hear A Single is highly recommended. A reminder that only new albums are included among these 100.

Narrowing things down to this 100 has been really difficult. The countdown is posted in reverse batches of 10. For each album, A song is embedded from the album and a link is provided to the IDHAS Review where you can find further details and how to listen or buy the album.

Radio75 - Screaming Out

I adore Barcelona 5 piece, Radio75. Screaming Out is their third album. I reviewed the debut album, Songs For Celine and then somehow went missing for the follow up, Mandatory. However, I am back in line now. Indeed, the band are the only band to appear on Listening To This Week, with the same song twice. That song was the title track of this album.

I suppose that you might call this lot Indie Rock, but that would in no way do them justice. They come in from many directions, Modern Rock, Pop Rock, Alt Rock, Psych Pop and even a little Prog and Space Rock. Indeed, the song Not Your Moans might just contain all of those.

Work Of Art is wonderful fuzzed up, melodic Noise Rock, yet Last Days Of May is pure Brit Pop. Live With That is like a less po faced Muse, yet Under The Lake Of Vostok really blows off the cobwebs. Those Lazy 20s even ventures into Prog.

Songs For Celine revealed hints of AOR and Pop Rock. Screaming Out is far more in your face. There are no Ballads here, not much coming up for air, but that is the strength of the album. It grabs hold of you and won't let go.

Songs are still incredibly melodic and built on riffs that just ooze Power. The closer comes as a complete surprise. All programmed beats and mellowness, a big move away from the Guitar and that works just as well. Yesteryear is equally as good as what has gone before, just very different. What a splendid album!

You can listen to and buy the album here. It is available on Vinyl and as a download. You can find out more about Radio75 here.

Radio75 - Songs For Celine

I'm used to hearing great Power Pop and Garage Rock from Spain, but Barcelona's Radio75 reside far more in Classic Rock Territory and verge on AOR and even Modern Prog. The choruses are big, as is the sound. This is a fine debut album.

First and foremost, this five piece major on the melodic. At times there's a hint of Pop Rock, Nonsense sounds very ELO Part II and it adds a great Guitar Solo. Time To Relax has the aforementioned Modern Prog feel and they do this so well.

Something to Learn goes almost Radiohead, but doesn't always work, largely due to the unnecessary Drum Programming. It's a shame, because there is a fine riff later in the song. Waves is the big Brit Pop closer and is exemplary, this again ends with a Prog feel and I definitely get the opinion that this is the best direction for the band.

.However, Celine is a cracking Pop Song, Fleetwood Mac-ish with a stomping chorus and the single, Junkie Cowards is a fine anthem with it's AOR chorus. There's a lot here to like. Songs For Celine is a really accomplished debut album. I look forward to what comes next.
